The Great American Smash 2014 was the 49th cpv mega event produced by SCAW. It was the 5th in the chronology. It took place from the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio on August (formerly July) 14, 2014.
The card was comprised of nine matches (including one on the Preshow). Gladiator and Captain America (in his first match since Spring Showdown 2013) wrestled at the main event.

Rayne (champion) vs Avril Lavigne for the SCAW Women's Championship
Preshow[]
Albert Wesker demanded a match from Guile and got Jean-Luc Picard. Wesker pinned Picard after the Turning Evil.
Preliminary matches[]
Thor pinned Ichigo Kurosaki on the entranceway after a Mjolnir from a ladder through a table to retain the SCAW Hardcore Championship.
Guile granted another match request from Magneto.
King & Kenshin Himura wrestled against Red Hood & Captain Marvel in a Tag Team match. King pinned Red Hood after the Tek Buster.
Magneto wrestled against a mystery opponent who turned out to be Brian Urlacher. Urlacher pinned Magneto after the Chicago Style Jackhammer.
Superman & Liu Kang wrestled against Mr. Clean & Jack Sparrow in a tag team match. Mr. Clean pinned Superman after the Cleaning Press.
LeBron James turned Face and shout out to Ohio. His partner The Burger King called him pathetic. they brawled and LeBron James was triumphant.
Rayne and Avril Lavigne wrestled for the SCAW Women's Championship in a Steel Cage Match. Rayne pinned Avril after the Rayne Down to retain the Women's Championship.
Spider-Man & Homer Simpson defended the SCAW Tag Team Championship against Ghost Rider & Dante. Dante pinned Homer after a running Spear to win the Tag Team Championship.
Edward Elric pinned Green Lantern after catching him mid-air with the Sudden Alchemy to retain the SCAW Championship. They shook hands as a sign of respect.
Main event[]
Captain America and Gladiator wrestled. Gladiator was interviewed by Gene Simmons. Captain America made Gladiator submit with the Ankle Lock.
