Day of Destiny 2016 is the 61st cpv produced by SCAW. It is the eighth in the chronology since 2014. It took place on May 27, 2016 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This is the second cpv hosted in this venue since Ascendance 2011.
Seven matches took place, with one in the Preshow. Spider-Man won the Match of Destiny in the main event to get an SCAW Championship shot at Summer Brawl 2016.

Piccolo pinned Kazuma Kuwabara after the DB Driver.
Preliminary matches
Doctor Doom & Magneto were upset at not being in the event and left before the show began.
Deadpool pinned Captain Marvel after the Money Shot.
Yusuke Urameshi & Drax the Destroyer defeated Optimus Prime & He-Man to retain the SCAW Tag Team Championship. Drax pinned He-Man after a Destroyer Bomb from Drax.
The Gladiator, Solid Snake and The Joker cut promos.
Ryu Hayabusa made Mr. Clean submit to the Hayabusa Stretch to retain the SCAW Legends Championship.
Superman pinned the Internet champion Dante after the S-5 to win a non Title Match. Batman was the special referee.
Albert Wesker, Angry Video Game Nerd and Homer Simpson cut promos.

Main event
Captain America pinned Hellboy after the All American Splash to win the SCAW Championship.
Spider-Man eliminated King last to win the Match of Destiny. Tommy Vercetti and Cole MacGrath debuted. Michael Myers and Iron Man returned. Kevin Smith (formerly Silent Bob) and Kenshin Himura were surprise entries.
