Ascendance 2009 was the 12th cpv mega event produced by SCAW. It was the first in the chronology. It took place on February 27, 2009 from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The card was comprised of seven matches (including one on the Preshow). This event was notable for having three Elimination Chamber matches which is the most in any SCAW event. Inuyasha defeated Homer Simpson and four other challengers in an Elimination Chamber match to win the SCAW Championship at the main event. Ichigo Kurosaki then defeated Inuyasha in an impromptu match to win the SCAW Championship.

Preliminary matches[]
The Joker defended the SCAW Zero-One Championship against Gladiator, Robin, Mr. Clean, Green Lantern and White Ranger in an Elimination Chamber match.
- The Joker (#2) was distracted by a creepy message. Robin (#1) made The Joker submit with the Crossface
- Green Lantern (#4) pinned Robin after the Green Light.
- White Ranger (#3) pinned Gladiator (#6) after the Tiger Powerbomb.
- White Ranger pinned Mr. Clean (#5) after a copycat Clean Press.
- White Ranger pinned Green Lantern after the Tiger Powerbomb to win the Zero-One Championship.
Fred Durst interviewed Captain America, Guile and Ghost Rider, and they wondered who would replace Ichigo Kurosaki at the main event. Fred Durst was given a wedgie by Freakazoid and The Thing.
The Hulk and Hellboy wrestled. Hellboy was attacked by Jack Sparrow. Hellboy pinned The Hulk after the Doomstone piledriver.
Captain America was found attacked backstage by Guile and Ghost Rider.
Iron Man defended the SCAW Internet Championship against Ghost Rider, Optimus Prime, Darth Vader, Rhino and Zod in an Elimination Chamber match.
- Iron Man (#6) pinned Optimus Prime (#4) after the Steam Roller.
- Ghost Rider (#2) pinned Rhino (#1) after the Ghost Ride.
- Iron Man pinned Ghost Rider after the Steam Roller
- Iron Man pinned Zod (#5) after the Steam Roller.
- Iron Man pinned Darth Vader (#3) after the Steam Roller to retain the Internet Championship.
The Joker came back to the ring and challenged whoever is playing mind games with him to show himself. It was revealed to be another Joker in his classic attire who then attacked him.
Abraham Lincoln and George W. Bush wrestled. Winner becomes SCAW president. Lincoln was attacked by The Prince of Persia. Bush pinned Lincoln after the Presidential Slam.
Spider-Man offered Superman to join the NODQ World Order for the last time. Superman answered with a thunderous S-5.
Main event[]
Homer Simpson defended the SCAW Championship against Guile, Santa Claus, Inuyasha, M. Bison (replacing Ichigo) and Iron Man (replacing Captain America) in an Elimination Chamber match.
- Iron Man (#5) pinned Santa Claus (#6) after the Steam Roller.
- Iron Man pinned M. Bison (#1) after the Steam Roller.
- Homer (#4) pinned Iron Man after the Simpson Stunner.
- Guile (#2) pinned Homer after the Super Sonic Boom.
- Inuyasha (#3) pinned Guile after the Full Fledged Demon Bomb to win the SCAW Championship.
As his first act as the new SCAW president, George W. Bush gave the supposedly absent Ichigo another Money in the Bank shot which sure enough he cashed in. Ichigo pinned Inuyasha after the Soul Reaper to win the SCAW Championship.
